Trades Assistant – Pumps & Valves | Naval Base | $35/hr Overtime Our client is a global leader in pump and valve manufacturing, operating a flagship facility in Naval Base with a modern, well-equipped workshop and warehouse. They are seeking a reliable and skilled Trades Assistant to join their team on a long-term basis, with the opportunity for permanency after 3 months. In this role, you will support the assembly, testing, painting, and storage of new pumps. Key duties include: Operating forklifts and overhead cranes to move pumps (LF licence essential; RB/DG tickets highly regarded) Sandblasting, painting, and applying ceramic coatings Assisting with pump assembly/disassembly, mounting pumps on test benches, and bolting flanges General workshop support as directed by technicians What we’re looking for: High Risk Forklift License (LF) & valid Driver’s License Overhead crane experience (ticket desirable) Mechanical aptitude and ability to perform physical tasks Experience with sandblasting, painting, and coatings (advantageous) Willingness to assist with workshop cleaning, packaging, and pump assembly tasks This is a full-time role, Monday to Friday (6am–2:30pm, 38 hrs/week) with overtime available.
